Airfield Lighting Control
The ACAMS AFL module allows the user to control the various airfield
lighting systems including runway, taxiway, stop bars, hangars, apron
etc. The lights can be switched off and on individually or in groups.
The intensity can be controlled for specific lights according to preconfigured
intervals.
Typical screen layout:
A PLC is used to control the transductors and power relays of the
airfield lighting system. The PLC communicates with the ACAMS central
system via dualised Ethernet. For long distances modems can be used.
The ACAMS software runs as separate programs on each client PC and
communicate directly with the PLC. Changes activated at one position
will be shown at all the other positions in real time. A fault on
one position will not affect the operation at the other positions.
A fault in the communication or in the transductors will be indicated
at the operator positions.
The ACAMS system supports all known airfield lighting systems. |
